VIDEREUTDANNINGSSTUDIUM ("OMEGA 10") I BIBLIOTEKADMINISTRASJON

Målgrupper
Videreutdanningsstudiet retter seg mot interesserte med utdanning som bibliotekarer og med flerårig yrkespraksis som ønsker et konsentrert, yrkesrelatert videregående studium med integrering av teori og praksis og med både oppdatering og fordypning innen temaområdene a) biblioteket som organisasjon - bibliotekledelse, og b) bibliotekøkonomi.

Studiet gir til sammen 10 vekttall fordelt på to 5-vekttallskomponenter: 1) Biblioteket som organisasjon - bibliotekledelse og 2) Bibliotekøkonomi. Hver komponent går over 10 dager (2x5 arbeidsdager a 6 timer, tils. 60 timer) og vil ha et pensum på ca.1000 sider, totalt ca. 2000 sider. Alternativt kan en nøye seg med én av komponentene.

1) Biblioteket som organisasjon - bibliotekledelse: (14- 25.januar 2002)
Målsetningen i denne komponenten er å tilby oppdatering og fordypning med vekt på temaene: Organisasjonsteori, strategier/mål, teknologi, sosial struktur, organisasjonskultur, beslutninger, forhandlinger, lønnsforhandlinger, konflikter, makt/innflytelse, psykologi, kommunikasjon, ledelse, kvalitetsstyring, bibliotekaretikk, personal (medarbeidersamtaler, AKAN-regler med mer), likestilling, omstilling/endring, prosjektstyring, lovverket (Arbeidsmiljøloven).

2) Bibliotekøkonomi ( 2- 13.september 2002)
Målsetningen i denne komponenten er å tilby oppdatering og fordypning med vekt på temaene: Årsregnskap, budsjettering (Excel-regneark), årsberetning, målstyring, rapportering, styringsindikatorer, produktivitetsparametre, økonomiske kvalitetsindikatorer, revisjon, internkontroll, fundraising og aktuell dataprogramvare innen økonomistyring/regnskap. Omfatter også gjennomgang av utvalgte norske fagbibliotek og folkebibliotek.

Arbeidsformer:
Forelesninger, gruppediskusjoner og øvelser. Uke 1 & 2: mandag-fredag (09:00-12:00 og 13:00-16:00), til sammen 60 timer.

Evaluering
Deltakerne skriver en prosjektoppgave på 15-20 sider innen hver komponent, gjerne basert på eget yrkesrelatert materiale, men knyttet til kurspensum og undervisning. Prosjektoppgaven for del 1 innleveres senest 1.april, del 2 senest 15.november. Det gis gradert karakter. Når det gjelder utarbeiding av prosjektoppgaver vil mange ha nytte av oversikten over hovedoppgaver 2001 ved JBI (HTM) og de nye gjeldende retningslinjer for denne type arbeider (HTM). Sistnevnte må likevel bare oppfattes som veiledende for OMEGA 10 prosjektoppgaver. Oversikt over prosjektopppgaver våren 2002 (HTM).
